In short
Chargi does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no accounts, no logins, no ads, and no analytics or tracking. The app runs entirely on your device.
What data we process
No personal data. Chargi does not collect your name, email, location, device identifiers, contacts, or usage data.
The only information the app handles stays solely on your device and is never sent to us or to any third party:
- Settings: alarm threshold, selected sound, vibration, language. Stored in the app's local storage.
- Alarm history: a local log of your most recent alarm and charge events (battery level and time). Stored in the app's local storage, limited to the most recent events.
- Custom sound (optional): if you choose your own audio file as the alarm, the file is copied into the app's private storage on the device. It is never uploaded anywhere.
- Battery level and charging state: read in real time from the operating system only to make the alarm work. They are not stored or transmitted.
Uninstalling the app removes all of this data from your device.
Permissions we request
Chargi requests a few system permissions, used only for its battery-alarm function:
- Notifications: to show the alarm and the monitoring notification.
- Vibration: for vibration during the alarm.
- Foreground service / background execution (Android): to keep checking the battery level and fire the alarm when the app is not in the foreground.
- Run at boot (Android): to resume monitoring after the device restarts.
- Full-screen intent (Android): to show the alarm over the lock screen.
None of these permissions involve collecting or sending any data.
Third-party services
Chargi does not include any analytics, advertising, or social SDKs, nor any cloud services. No data is shared with third parties.
Children
Chargi is not specifically directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children. Because it collects no data at all, the app is suitable for users of any age.
Security
Because data never leaves your device, it is protected by the operating system's and the app's security mechanisms. We operate no servers or databases.
Your rights
As we process no personal data, we hold no information about you. You still have full control over the local data: you can change it within the app or delete it by uninstalling the app. For any questions, contact us at the address above.
